Plan a visit to St John’s

If you are wondering what to expect if you visit St John’s on a Sunday, then look no further!

On the first and third Sunday of each month, we have a Holy Communion service at 8:30am.  This takes place in the Lady Chapel and is a quiet ‘said’ worship.

Every Sunday, our main service is held at 10am and most people start to arrive from about 9:45am.  On the first Sunday of each month, our 10am service is an All Age Worship aimed at families but everyone is welcome.

There are a small amount of parking spaces outside Stoneleigh train station but also plenty of parking on Stoneleigh Broadway which is a short walk away.

Once inside the church, you will be greeted by one of our Welcomers who will provide you with a copy of the order of service and St John’s weekly newsletter.  The newsletter gives you details of upcoming events and information about what is going on at church.  If you have come with children, then we have a dedicated area for them as well as a Junior Church during term time.

There are no reserved seats in the congregation, so please sit where you feel comfortable.  We have an induction loop which is in operation for the whole church.

There is no dress code at St John’s – some people prefer formal suits, some jeans and t-shirt.

(I will need your input on this bit)

The morning service is lead by our Minister, Rev. Ken Hobbs with contributions from members of the congregation.

Can we say a bit about what happens during the service, HC, hymns, sitting, standing etc.  After the service has ended, we meet in the Parish Centre for refreshments and hope you’ll be able to join us.
